| Fruit | Bloodroot Sanguinaria canadensis This perennial, woodland wildflower was named for the abundant red juice in its thick rhizome (which has been used as a dye). Plant bloodroot in rich, well-drained soil in light shade. It blooms in February and has pretty lobed foliage. |

Woodland Phlox Phlox divaricata This perennial, woodland wildflower blooms in the early spring in drifts of blue and lavender. Plant it in rich, well-drained soil in light shade. Add lime to sweeten the soil. Avoid heavy mulching as it will impede re-seeding. |

| White Wild Indigo is a native perennial for full to part sun. This spring bloomer gets 3 to 3-1/2 feet tall. Its large, showy flowers (and later its large, black cylindrical seed pods) are very pretty against its distinctive foliage. |

Indian Pink Spigelia marilandica This native, perennial wildflower for shade to part sun is a great hummingbird attractor. It gets approximately 18” tall and blooms in late spring/early summer. |

Blue-eyed Grass Sisyinchium atlanticum This native, perennial wildflower for full to part sun is evergreen. Its delicate blue blossoms with yellow centers are a spring-time treat. The plant grows to a height of up to 10 inches. |

Heliopsis (Oxeye Sunflower) Heliopsis helianthoides This native, perennial wildflower for full to part sun is a very good choice for that hot and dry spot in your landscape. It blooms profusely (small, yellow sunflowers) from late spring ‘til frost and is tough as nails. Once it’s established in your garden, it is very drought tolerant and very easy to grow. |

Purple Coneflower Echinacea purpurea This native, perennial wildflower for full to part sun gets three to five feet tall and is a great butterfly attractor. It also has medicinal uses. Add lime to sweeten the soil. |
| Black-eyed Susan Rudbeckia fulgida Black-eyed Susan is a native, perennial wildflower for full sun. It gets two to three feet tall and blooms prolifically in summer to fall. Black-eyed Susan is a great plant for attracting pollinators to your garden. |

Muhly Grass Muhlenbergia capillaris This native grass will add beautiful color and texture to your landscape. It gets two to three feet tall, blooms in the fall (wispy purple/pink blossoms) and is salt and drought tolerant. |
